Sidhra-Rudhra Brahmins are a Brahmin community found in the state of Gujarat in India. == History ==
In ''Sri Vayu Yukta Shiva Samhita, Narmada Mahatmaya'', by Maharushi Markendey Muni, Adhyaya No. 333 to 335 describes the origin of the Siddha Rudhra Bhramins and the location of the Shri Shiddheswar Mahadev Temple. It is a translation of a Sanskrit book by late Shri Ganpatray Narayanshankar Shukal. The community came from the Haryana (Ganga) and Punjab (Sarasvati) region and settled near Bhrugukaccha, Ankureshwar, Surat, and Sidhra-Rudhra (Sajod), and are still found in this area. Some land-owning members of this community with Patel surname, are known to have converted to Islam a few centuries ago and became part of the land-owning Vora Patel community of the same area.
